  10. MidiKeys is a screen representation of a piano keyboard. 
  11.  
  12. It can play through the internal speaker in the PC, or it can play
  13. sounds using the Windows Multimedia Extensions if you have a sound card
  14. or an external MIDI sound generator.
  15.  
  16. MidiKeys is very useful for setting up the MIDI Mapper, it lets you
  17. audition the sounds on a sound card or MIDI sound module, and it can be
  18. fun to just bang on little melodies.

  21. The Password
  22. ------------
  23. MidiKeys is BannerWare for our product called Makeover for Windows. 
  24. The only fee for using MidiKeys is a completed and mailed registration
  25. form, and enough of your time to read about some information about
  26. Makeover.  BROCHURE.HLP is an online brochure for Makeover, in Windows
  27. Help format.  The password to unzip MIDIKEYS.EXE is contained in
  28. BROCHURE.HLP, and while we would prefer you read the whole document
  29. before using MidiKeys, we'll give you the info you need to quickly get
  30. to the password.

  32. Open BROCHURE.HLP using the File,Run...  command in Program Manager or
  33. File Manager, or open the help for any Windows program and use the
  34. File,Open...  command to open the file.  Scroll to the bottom of the
  35. page and you will see the words 'Where to Buy' underlined and
  36. highlighted.  Click on 'Where To Buy' and scroll to the bottom of the
  37. page.  The password is in bold in the last sentence.

  42. This software is owned by Playroom Software and is protected by United
  43. States copyright laws and international treaty provisions.  You may not
  44. modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.

  46. You may freely distribute this version of the MidiKeys software, with
  47. the following restrictions: (a) It may not be included in a software or
  48. hardware package marketed for resale without the express written
  49. consent of Playroom Software; (b) The computer archive file, diskette,
  50. or other media that contains the software must contain this document
  51. and any others originally distributed with the software in unaltered
  52. form.

  54. In no event shall Playroom Software or its suppliers be liable for any
  55. damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of
  56. business profits, business interruption, loss of business information,
  57. or other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use or inability to use
  58. this Playroom Software product, even if Playroom Software has been
  59. advised of the possibility of such damages.

  62. copies of the software.  This is your sole remedy.
